There are two primary ways to stream live content: Push and Pull.

Pull

Using a Pull connection is the most stable.

It is recomended for anyone doing Live broadcasts lasting more than 3 hours, especially for people broadcasting 24/7.

When using a Pull method, our server is constantly looking for content coming from your encoder. To do this, it need a static IP address to connect to.

Learn how to set-up a Live Pull here.

Push

Using a Push conenction is less stable, but allows you to broadcast from any computer in the world with an Encoder installed.

It is recomended for people who are doing Live broadcasts from multiple locations, or peopel doing short broadcasts who cannot get a static IP address.

Firewalls and router configuration are not necessary when using a Push.
